Everything we handle in the shop

Sales, transfers, sourcing, builds, and service. If it involves a firearm and an appointment, it's on this list, and most jobs touch more than one of these.
01 / 06

Firearm sales

Handguns, rifles, and shotguns, with anything we do not stock ordered in.

We keep a working selection of handguns, rifles, and shotguns in the case from the makers we stand behind. If the model, caliber, or configuration you want is not on hand, we order it in rather than talk you into something close. First-time buyers get the same time and the same walkthrough as anyone else.

02 / 06

FFL transfers

Receive a firearm bought online or shipped from out of state, paperwork and check handled here.

Anything bought online or from a private party out of state has to ship to a licensed dealer for pickup. Send it to us, and we log it in, run the background check through the federal form, and release it to you in person. It is a short, straightforward visit.

03 / 06

Special orders

Tracking down a specific make, finish, or hard-to-find item and having it sent here.

Tell us the make, model, caliber, or finish you are after and we will find it and have it shipped to the shop. This is how most of what leaves here starts, and it is usually faster than people expect for current-production guns.

04 / 06

Custom builds

AR builds from the lower up, plus optics, lights, and the upgrades that go with them.

We build ARs from the lower up and put together complete setups around how you actually plan to use them. Optics, lights, triggers, handguards, and the small parts in between. Bring a build you have already started and we will finish it, or spec one with you from scratch.

05 / 06

Repair & maintenance

Cleaning, function checks, and fixes so a firearm runs the way it should.

Appointment time means we can actually look at a gun that is giving you trouble. We handle cleaning, function checks, parts replacement, and the routine maintenance that keeps a firearm reliable instead of guessing at the range.

06 / 06

Ammunition & accessories

Common calibers on hand, plus holsters, magazines, and the parts that fit your carry.

Common calibers are kept on hand, with more available to order by the box or the case. We also bring in the accessories that make a firearm yours, holsters, magazines, sights, slings, and the rest, matched to what you actually carry.

How a transfer works

Buying a firearm online or from someone out of state means it has to ship to a licensed dealer near you for pickup. Here's the whole process at 711 Defense.

01

List us as your FFL

At checkout, or with the seller, name 711 Defense as the receiving dealer. We can send our license straight to them so nothing stalls.

02

We receive it

Your firearm ships to the shop. We log it into the bound book and let you know the moment it has arrived and is ready.

03

Finish in person

Book a short visit, fill out the federal form, pass the background check, and take it home, usually the same appointment.

Bringing in a firearm to ship out or transfer to someone else? Reach out first and we'll tell you exactly what to bring.

Common questions

A few things worth knowing before your first visit. Anything else, just ask.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We run by appointment so every visit gets real attention instead of a line at the counter. Send a message and we will set a time.
Can I ship a gun I bought online to you?
That is exactly what a transfer is. Have the seller list 711 Defense as the receiving FFL, and book a time to finish the paperwork once it lands.
What should I bring for a transfer or purchase?
A valid Florida ID with your current address. The background check and federal form are completed here at the shop.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Often. We will walk through fit, caliber, and how a firearm is going to be used without rushing or talking over you.
